Knowledge and Attitude About Patient Safety among Nurses at Public Hospitals in Sana’a –City - Yemen

Objective: To assess the level of knowledge and attitudes regarding patient safety among nurses working in public hospitals in Sana'a City, Yemen.
Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted using a questionnaire distributed to a sample of nurses in public hospitals in Sana'a during 2024. Data were analyzed using SPSS to examine the relationship between demographic variables and levels of knowledge and attitudes.
Results: The findings revealed a moderate level of knowledge about patient safety concepts and generally positive attitudes toward implementing safety practices, with some gaps related to reporting medical errors.
Conclusion: It is recommended to enhance continuous training programs on patient safety and develop clear policies for error reporting to improve healthcare quality and reduce risks.
